However, as the material production tends to involve third parties that often control the tools and knowledge, companies get dependent on these suppliers, becoming unable to freely control the production and maintenance of their documents.

With SOM (Sirius Output Manager), your company is in control over the entire production. Feel free to modify your documents during the process, change the forms of distribution between different communication channels (print, digital, SMS, email, etc.) and set / change Print Centers responsible for implementing the service, by sending to production the outputs generated by Sirius' systems.

The systems involved in the SOM process accept several input file formats, enabling our solution to be easily incorporated into current processes at your company.

How does it work?

GerSpool is the software responsible for controlling production. It manages process queues and activates programs in background via parameters, to complement the production process and generate/send the documents.

It receives and processes files in several formats, and then converts them to be compatible with the Production Center equipment, taking into account not only the printing language, but also the finishing and management equipments. Throughout this processing, information is extracted to feed the database.

Supported formats: Databases (Excel, Access, dBase), Tag files (XML, Autograph), System-Generated Files (Amdocs, JES-IBM, Kenan, SAP R/3 and utility accounting system), Print Spool Files (LCDS, PostScript, PCL, IPDS, Xerox Metacode, AFP), TXT files and Web to Print.

Upon processing the input files, GerSpool activates Format, which will compose documents with variable data, optical marks, bar codes, etc. Format can generate outputs to multiple media (print, digital, SMS and email), thus allowing you to set the forms of distribution. The generation of spool files in different languages allows your company to set the locations where the printed versions will be produced, in accordance with the best cost-benefit.

Your company can hire the Sirius Output Manager solution, by associating GerSpool and Format or, if you already have a solution focused on the production control or document composition, you can hire the modules separately to incorporate into your own process.
